Casablanca Pendant

Danish pendant in brass and lacquered metal, designed by Simon Henningsen for Lyfa in 1963. One of several intimate, theatrical lights Henningsen produced for Lyfa during the 1960s. This pendant is based on the simple idea of repeating a shape, reducing and twisting it, revealing glimpses of colour in the process. Known as the shining box it was complex and expensive to produce at the time. This example has been fully restored.
